
Labour Councillor Oana Olaru-Holmes has been appointed as the Cabinet Member for Safer Lewisham, Refugees and Equalities by Mayor Brenda Dacres, who announced the appointment on Wednesday 17th July at a meeting of Full Council.
Councillor Olaru-Holmes represents Downham ward and was previously Cabinet Advisor for Violence Against Women and Girls and Vice Chair of Planning Committee B. She also stood as the 2024 Labour parliamentary candidate for Bromley and Biggin Hill and came within 300 votes of defeating the Conservates, overturning a 15,000 Tory majority.
