We have transferred 270 agency staff into the Council giving people security of employment, public sector pensions and secure terms and conditions. We have reduced our reliance on agency staff by a third. We have insourced our building maintenance contract, our homelessness prevention team, fostering recruitment, our bailiffs (allowing us to take a more human and individual approach towards people who are in debt) and our targeted family support services. This insourcing has provided 33 new Council jobs.
