Community Wealth Building is at the centre of our plans. We introduced a groundbreaking new Social Value Policy which means Council contractors now need to prove a social value to Lewisham if a contract is to be awarded. Through our new policy, we have hired 38 new apprentices and secured 16,000 new hours of community volunteering.
